WP-Config Editor

wp-config.php Editor

Edit your WordPress configuration file safely from the panel.

How to Use

  1. Go to your site → WP Config
  2. The current wp-config.php contents are displayed in a code editor
  3. Make your changes and click Save

Safety Checks

Before saving, BlitzPress validates:

  • File starts with <?php
  • DB_NAME and ABSPATH constants are present (prevents accidental deletion of critical config)
  • Minimum content length of 500 characters (guards against truncation)
  • PHP syntax validation — runs php -l on the file before saving to catch syntax errors

Automatic Backup

Every time you save wp-config.php, a backup is stored at:

/opt/blitzpress/backups/wp-config/{domain}_{date}_{time}.php

If an edit breaks your site, the previous version can be restored.
