Cloudflare Integration
Cloudflare Integration
BlitzPress integrates directly with the Cloudflare API for DNS management, CDN configuration, and cache purging.
Connecting Cloudflare
From your server settings in the panel, enter your:
- Cloudflare Email — the email on your Cloudflare account
- Global API Key — found at Cloudflare Dashboard → My Profile → API Tokens → Global API Key
BlitzPress validates the credentials by listing your zones. Once connected, all site operations can auto-manage DNS.
Automatic DNS Setup
When you create a site with Cloudflare connected, BlitzPress will:
- Find the Cloudflare zone for your domain (or auto-add it)
- Create an A record pointing your domain to the server IP
- Create a CNAME record for www.{domain}
- Initially set to DNS Only (gray cloud) for SSL verification
- After SSL is issued, automatically enable Cloudflare Proxy (orange cloud)
Auto-Purge on Publish
The evo-cf-autopurge mu-plugin automatically purges Cloudflare’s cache when you:
- Publish or update a post/page
- Switch themes
- Activate or deactivate plugins
- Update WordPress options
This ensures visitors always see fresh content without manual cache clearing.
Cloudflare Settings
From the panel, you can also control:
- Development Mode — bypass Cloudflare cache temporarily (useful when making design changes)
- Security Level — adjust WAF sensitivity (Low / Medium / High / Under Attack)
- Cache Purge — purge all or specific URLs
