Cache Purging
Purging Caches
BlitzPress manages 4 cache layers. You can purge them individually or all at once.
One-Click Purge All
From the panel, click “Purge Cache” on any site. This clears all 4 layers:
- LSCache Plugin Cache — runs
wp litespeed-purge allto clear all page-level cached HTML - LSCache File Cache — removes
/wp-content/litespeed/and/wp-content/cache/litespeed/directories - Redis Object Cache — runs
FLUSHDBon the site’s Redis database to clear all cached queries and transients - OPcache — sends
USR2signal to lsphp processes to invalidate all compiled PHP bytecode
After purging, OpenLiteSpeed is gracefully restarted to ensure clean state.
When to Purge
- After making theme/CSS changes that don’t appear
- After installing or updating plugins
- If you see stale content
- After changing wp-config.php settings
- After database imports or search-replace
Automatic Purging
Most cache invalidation happens automatically:
- Post publish/update → LSCache purges the post URL, homepage, and archive pages
- Theme/plugin changes →
evo-cf-autopurge.phppurges Cloudflare edge cache - Option updates → relevant cache keys are invalidated in Redis
Purge All Sites
You can also use domain: "all" to purge every site on the server at once. This is useful after server-level PHP or OLS configuration changes.
